Frank Gehry’s New World Symphony Center – Wonderful the Way it Should Be

New World Center: Frank Gehry designed this home for the New World Symphony in Miami Beach

Nicolai Ouroussoff has written an excellent, perceptive, and heart-felt, article entitled “Gehry Design Plays Fanfare for the Common Man”  in the Art & Design section of The New York Times looking at Frank Gehry’s new home (above) for the New World Symphony, in Miami Beach, Florida.

Ouroussoff’s article in rich, clear-thinking and touching, as is Gehry’s design.

More of this from both of them would only help to make the world a still more fascinating, wonderful place.  Our thanks to Ouroussoff and Gehry; they have reminded us why we write this blog, and reassured us that design is not just another chair, another “fabulous” building, and that journalism can be truly uplifting.

Very nice slide show, here.
