Architecture: Harvest Pavilion by Vector Architects: “..located amidst an eco-farm..the first completed structure within a four building complex which will include a clubhouse, botanical showroom and information center dedicated to agricultural activity. responding to the vast tracts of land encompassing the site, a horizontal roof with deep eaves parallels the flat landscape. cantilevering from all four sides, the thin plane is formed from prefabricated aluminum rods creating a simple and light enclosure. the sheltering canopy generates an outdoor transition area to the interior..a floor-to-ceiling facade system of vertical bamboo louvers frames window panes and pivoting glass doors. the internal room becomes filters into the fields when the doors are opened..”  Almost calligraphic, and certainly graphic, the Harvest Pavilion is strikingly fabricated and contemporary, and yet, with its transparency, seemingly inexistant; the bamboo louvres adding an essential practicality and vegetality..
