Architecture: Conservatorium Hotel by Piero Lissoni: “..the venue includes 129 luxury guest rooms, meeting spaces, well-being spa and restaurants and bars of diverse atmospheres. a full-height glazed atrium meets the original masonry exterior, while a corten steel stair and multiple catwalks accentuate their meeting points through arched windows and portals within the brick facade..within the existing building, eight levels of suites are configured with a duplex layout, ranging in size from 30 to 170 square meters. leading to the lofted bedrooms, open-riser steel stairs and railings formed from glass panes continue the clean lines found within the entry lobby. throughout the interior, vintage and cultural elements are found amidst modern amenities..”  Extensive glazing; modulated light, interesting materiality, interior volumes, graphism, colour and texture for this luxury hotel in Amsterdam..
