Residential Architecture: Meakins Road House by b.e. Architecture: “..a house surrounded by a steel and timber timber grid..the project features a timber frame with horizontal beams that surrounds the building, creating a veranda..The house has been designed around pre-existing sunken walled courtyards, which have been used to create outdoor areas..The main bedroom is separated from the rest of the house by a pond and can be accessed by a suspended glazed walkway..The other bedrooms in the house look out onto their own private courtyards..”  Extensive glazing, natural light, veranda, vernacular inspiration, contemporary interiors..
