Residential Architecture: House in Itaipava by Cadas Arquitetura: “..Located in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro..surrounded by mountains, rivers and vegetation..The architectural and structural party blend modern lines with a cozy interior, typical of architecture of this region..The idea that the garden was part of the house results in a open space plan and glass facade continuing the existing balconies all around the house, bringing the exterior inside..With the large scale of the balconies, it is possible to have thermal comfort inside the house, eliminating the use of air conditioning, even in summer..With magnificent view over the garden, the front porch becomes the most important point of the house, allowing a visual integration with the other spaces: garden, swimming pool, living room, library, dining..”  Extensive glazing, natural light and ventilation, privacy, views, indoor/outdoor sensibility, interesting interior volumes, abundant exterior and interior wood and wood lamella..
